Xiaomi back in July 2018, held a new product launch conference and announced its 8th-anniversary smartphone named Xiaomi Mi 8. Hold on! There are many other versions namely Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer which is now known as Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro in Australia and other countries except China. The Mi 8 Pro is backed by lots of innovations and most important of all, it doesn’t cost a fortune. The innovative and decent amount of features include 6.21-inches (1080 x 2248) Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 845, Android 8.1 Oreo and 6/8GB of RAM. 128GB of onboard memory, dual 12MP rear, and 20MP FaceTime sensor and 3000mAh battery are also a part of Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro.

The device houses 6.21-inches Super AMOLED display with a maximum resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and has an 83.8% screen-to-body ratio. The Mi 8 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with no defined timeline of an upgrade.

Moving on, Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro comes in 2 different variants in terms of RAM only – 6GB and 8GB. The onboard memory which is 128GB remains the same. The 8GB of RAM is paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset and Adreno 630 – manages a graphical department quite well. The overall performance is up to snuff and gives users lag-free and smooth performance. Be noted, users won’t be able to expand its onboard memory any further, unfortunately.

There is a dual 12MP + 12MP rear shooter with an aperture of f/1.8 + f/2.4 respectively on Mi 8 Pro – scored 99 points on DXOMark. The first 12MP is supported by 4-axis IOS and dual-pixel PDAF whereas secondary 12MP is holding its position with 1/3.4” sensor size and 1.0um pixel size. Both lenses are backed by AI and offering users 2x Optical Zoom and other dazzling features. There is a 20MP FaceTime sensor, though, for taking selfies and video calls.
