Product Description

Vivo brought a number of premium smartphones with mind-boggling designs and state-of-the-art inner components to give severe competition to its rivals. Although the X-series of Vivo has different flagship devices, but Vivo X50 in Australia seems to be a mid-range smartphone, focusing on a camera performance. Besides, it’s considered as the cheapest X-series model that doesn’t leave a dent in your wallet when it comes to buying.

The phone arrived back in June 2020 with a plethora of key highlights such as a 6.56-inches AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, Quad-camera configuration, an In-display fingerprint scanner, and 4200mAh non-removable battery. What else does it bring along? Let’s find out below!

6.56” AMOLED Display & In-display Fingerprint Scanner

With a small punch-hole and bezel-less display, Vivo X50 looks quite impressive at first glance. Besides, the front is covered with a punchy and bright 6.56-inches AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2376 pixels and 398 PPI Pixel Density. It’s also featuring a super-fast and smooth in-display fingerprint scanner like most of the competitors.

What’s Inside?

Vivo X50 runs on the Android 10 operating system with the company’s own FunTouch 10.5 OS on top. Moreover, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Chipset works like a brain – partnered with Adreno 618 GPU for managing all the requirements related to graphics. This setup is further partnered with 8GB of RAM to offer users smooth and silky multitasking and a graphics-enriched gaming experience. In terms of onboard memory, it’s available in two different tiers – 128GB or 256GB. Both variants, unfortunately, don’t support an external microSD card slot to expand it further.

Camera Setup

The X-series devices from Vivo are basically focusing on camera performance, and interestingly, the X50 smartphone is no different. The Vivo X50 comes with a powerful quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary camera, followed by other lenses such as a 13MP portrait, 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro camera. It has all the features you need while capturing photos like Panorama, HDR, Touch to Focus, Autofocus, and more. Surprisingly, it can record 4K videos at 30fps too. On the front, on the other hand, you will find a 32MP selfie camera, which is limited to 1080p videos at 30fps.

Battery & Others

To help you stay online throughout the day, Vivo X50 comes with a 4200mAh non-removable battery that supports a 33W fast charging feature as well. Alongside an in-display fingerprint scanner, it has all other sensors, i.e., accelerometer, gyro, compass, colour spectrum, and proximity. As for connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
