Vaude Australia is one of the biggest sportswear brands in Mountain Sports and Outdoor Clothing. Vaude Australia offers the immense range of products including, Cloths, shoes, bike bags, backpacks, luggage bags, sleeping bags, pads, tents, Multiuse, and other accessories for Men, Women and Kids.

Vaude is a very competitive German firm dedicated body and soul to mountain sports. It was established in 1974 by Albrecht von Dewitz, an adventurer who built his own company based on his favourite hobby.

The initials of its architect form the name of this manufacturer, and today it is still a family business. In the search for the highest quality and the most revolutionary technology, the evolution of its products is more than evident.

Since its inception, Vaude has been concerned with creating the most suitable designs for the practice of these sports. Currently, nothing has changed, and the functionality and aesthetics remain at the service of fans and lovers of outdoor activities.

It is how the best outfits and the most professional footwear are provided to serve the cyclist, and how the shorts and breathable pants, as well as the most appropriate boots, protect the mountaineer from any adversity.

Vaude: Brand History and Overview

Mountain Sports Professional, founded in 1974 by Albrecht von Dewitz, is headquartered in southern Germany. The name VAUDE comes from the owner's name and begins production of cycling clothing, professional clothing and backpacks for an Alpine cyclist.

Vaude’s primary role is to sanction environmental and social responsibility in the mid-1990s. Vaude Australia successfully conducted an eco recycling test to recycle Athletes outerwear.

Since 2001, the demanding bluesign standard has been for most VAUDE products. To this end, the entire value chain in the textile industry is verified and evaluated. It means that bluesign not only sets out guidelines for pollution to be avoided during production but also controls and ensures that production is environmentally friendly.

The daughter of the company's founder, Antje von Dewitz, took over in 2009. In 2010, VAUDE joined the Fair Wear Foundation and began working with WWF Germany. Corporate responsibility is a concept that capitalises on the VAUDE, and the VAUDE's objectives are equally ambitious: to become the European provider of the most environmentally friendly external equipment.

In addition to the production plant in Bodensee, VAUDE has long opened its factory in Asia. High environmental and social standards can, therefore, be fully controlled at any time.

Vaude - Green Thread

Vaude has set an ambitious goal to make our world a better place. This "green thread" is present throughout VAUDE and connects all areas. All stages are taken into account: product design, material selection, production and logistics.

Each part, even a small, Vaude external application specialist, is checked according to the sustainability, respect for the environment and social compatibility. Although areas far exceed industry averages, it does not rule out that anyone in the VAUDE will continue to look for ways to optimise.

Sustainability is a fundamental business strategy in Vaude Australia. The company's headquarters in southern Germany have a neutral impact on the climate and is EMAS certified. Its organic canteen serves delicious organic meals for employees.

Nurseries in the company make it easier for many Vaude employees to reconcile family and professional life. The desire to increase employee satisfaction and maintain the perfect balance between work and private life is also reflected in providing sports activities and the ability to use electric bikes or carpooling to work.

When designing its products, Vaude Australia attaches great importance to making the project lasting and timeless. Fabrics must remain beautiful for a long time because they are used for many years.

Vaude Top Quality Label: Green Shape

Unfortunately, since there is no single certificate to evaluate all outdoor products in terms of the environmental criterion, VAUDE has created it is quality brand thanks to its Green Shape process. Green Shape mostly forms the basis for bluesign certification but generally surpasses them.

To obtain a Green Shape quality mark, products must meet utterly demanding ecological criteria. It means that the evaluation shall take into account the design, materials, production, maintenance intensity and re-use or recycling. Especially when choosing materials, a lot of work is done to avoid the use of impurities.

Using bluesign or Ökotex 100 certified materials means you need to opt-out of PTFE, PVC and genetics membranes. This process requires a lot of work to get the Green Shape sign to prove it is a proven way that customers respect an environment that does not harm people or nature.

Vaude: High-Performance Sponsors of Athletics and Partners

At Vaude, the focus is on sustainability and environmental awareness. It can almost be forgotten that these seam experts in mountain sport never lose sight of another goal: creating outdoor clothing for all areas of application and all generations. Vaude designers must not only follow strict ecological guidelines but also directly include opinions, ideas and suggestions on improving many VAUDE-sponsored athletes in the production.
