Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera Black

Sony announced its new camera, which is the theoretical successor to the Sony a6300, but, in reality, it is a brand new device which also makes the Sony NEX-7. Sony Alpha A6300 in Australia was released in February 2019 and is relatively the same as the previous model. To be convinced of the difference, know that today, with the price of an a6300 box, you have two labelled a6000. Is it worth it? Let’s find it out.

Price and Availability

A great successor to the Sony Alpha 6000, the Alpha 6300 retains the resolution of 24 megapixels but brings improvements and innovations in terms of autofocus, 4k video recording, resolution of the electronic viewfinder and the quality of manufacturing. The Sony Alpha 6300 has since been replaced by the Alpha 6500, which brings performance improvements and a touch screen. Despite this, the Alpha 6300 remains a great camera and is now more affordable than ever before. Sony Alpha A6300 price in Australia ranges from $1800 to $2000 AUD. We have enlisted-in various stores from where you can purchase this Alpha A6300 camera by Sony.

In many ways, the Sony a6300 looks like its predecessor but with a more powerful processor, improved autofocus and a more articulated touch screen. The icing on the cake is that its launch cost is slightly lower, a sign that competition is increasingly fierce in the APS-C hybrid segment. Among the improvements, we can now also count on a time-lapse function with an adjustable interval timer. The Sony a6300 has a burst that goes up to 11 frames per second or eight frames per second in silent shutter mode while retaining autofocus tracking and exposure management but without direct aiming.

Design and Body

Externally, the Sony Alpha 6300 is very similar to its predecessor. It shares the same ultra-thin body and an almost identical control interface. The case is thus equipped with an OLED XGA electronic viewfinder with 2.359 million points, a built-in flash, a hot shoe, a 16: 9 screen tiltable by 90 °, two control knobs, and nine customisable buttons. The differences are quite subtle, with the addition of a selector identical to that present on the Alpha 7and for switching the exposure lock with the focus lock.

The housing of the Alpha 6300 also offers more excellent resistance to humidity and dust. The Alpha 6300 thus retains the outstanding ergonomics of its predecessor. The control buttons are all easily accessible, and the handle is wide enough to ensure optimal user comfort. The small dimensions of 120 x 70 x 49 mm and a weight of 404 g allow you to spend a whole day with the Alpha 6300 in your hands, without feeling the slightest discomfort or pain in your arms. The device is almost forgotten.
