World’s biggest smartphone brand “Samsung” is going to hold another event next month in April named “Galax Event” with quite a few observers expecting an announcement of Samsung Galaxy A90 to headline. A teaser for that event was posted by Samsung a couple of days ago in a tweet. A teaser video has a tagline “A Galaxy Event”. A Galaxy = Galaxy A in all probability. Rumours and leaks around have suggested that Samsung has all set to launch a brand new A-Series smartphone in a shape of Samsung Galaxy A90 in Australia and other countries. Three smartphones from A-Series have already been released named Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50 – but Galaxy A90 is listed to be a crown jewel of a mid-range offering. Ahead of its official launch, let’s find out what does it dish out!
Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and Infinity Display
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A90 is, without a doubt, Samsung's A-Series’ first smartphone, which is bearing the latest Infinity Display panel. This new display is designed by the company to integrate the notch properly. Although Samsung tried their best to avoid the most recent designs - finally embraced it with Samsung Galaxy A90. The new Infinity Display makes the Galaxy A90 a quite looker with thin bezels on the faces and notch on top. The Galaxy A90 maintains a premium side with the Super AMOLED Screen size of 6.4-inch at the resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels and 402 PPI for immersive visuals. The Galaxy A90 is powered by a Snapdragon 710 2.2GHz Octa-core chipset with Adreno 616 GPU for drawing performance parameters.
Qualcomm optimised their SD710 to ensure that AI features, efficient power use, and dominant performance are correctly functional. It's provided with Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which enables professional cameras and guarantees efficient performance through the multi-core Qualcomm AI motor. For mobile games like PUBG, the Adreno 616 should be enough. Digging down further inside the beast, it's equipped with 4GB of RAM 64GB of onboard memory. And most important of all, there is also a microSD card slot which means one can take the built-in storage to the next level (up to 512GB).
Exceptional Cameras and Software
In mid-range smartphones, dual-cameras are now standard. Following the trend, 12MP + 12MP dual rear cameras are supported with full-speed video, PDAF, Autofocus, LED flash, and more in Samsung Galaxy A90. The phone has a 24MP auto snapper on the front. About software, the Android 9.0 customised user interface is supplied on the phone.
Exquisite Battery and Multiple Connectivity Options
The package is completed by a non-removable Li-Ion battery of 3400mAh, which should last under a moderate use for at least one day. A bunch of connectivity options that come along with Galaxy A90 includes dual-SIM, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C Port and GPS.
Pricing and Availability
Putting even an educated guess in terms of official availability would be too prompt as Samsung, so far, didn’t reveal when (or if) will Galaxy A90 arrive on Australian stores. The handset, however, is all set to be released in other countries on April 10 during Samsung’s event, which is named “Galaxy Event” (as mentioned above). Soon after an official availability of Galaxy A90, it’s expected to give a strong competition to already available smartphones in the market. The Samsung Galaxy A90 Price in Australia is expected to be around AU$830-870. We’re keeping an eye on it and will update this page as soon as we hear more.
