LG is preparing something brand new for its Android smartphones as they are working on a new kind of smartphone which focus on design rather than the specifications. LG has officially announced the arrival of the LG Velvet 5G in Australia, the first of a new range of phones that favours design to spec.

The new smartphone was introduced last week and which is apparently what we expected from the LG G9. This new device has a design radically different from previous LG smartphones, with a camera in the shape of a raindrop and a 3D arc design that curves the glass on both sides of the device.

Price and Availability

The first business model to follow the new strategy will be the LG Velvet. A smartphone with a minimalist design, a Rain Drop camera and a 3D Arc design with curved glass on the back and front. If the LG Velvet was initially being intended to be the LG G9, but LG has discontinued the numbers. LG Velvet 5G price in Australia ranges from 700 to 1150 AUD. Here above we have enlisted-in various stores from where you can purchase these smartphones.

Operating System and Features:

Under the hood, LG Velvet is driven by the Snapdragon 765G platform, which will allow the device to support 5G module. It is expected to be a high-end mid-range device that will compete with devices such as the recently announced Motorola Edge.

The processor carried by the LG Velvet is the Snapdragon 765G and comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage up to 2 TB. The smartphone battery has a capacity of 4300mAh and supports wireless charging.

The smartphone is equipped with stereo speakers with Artificial Intelligence Sound it analyzes the audio content and automatically selects the optimum sound quality. Velvet can also offer support for the LG Stylus e-pen and the case with an extra LG Dual Screen.

Camera, Storage, and Battery:

Three sensors represent the rear camera, the main one being 48 MP. Also, there's an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. There is a technology that glues four pixels into one get high-quality photos in low light. While on the front it has a 16 MP of selfie camera. In terms of storage, this smartphone is available only in one variant having the ram of 8 Gb and the storage of 128 Gb. To extend the storage of the smartphone, you can use an SD card of up to 2TB of storage. To run this smartphone, LG employs a battery of 4300mAh which is quite reasonable to last a day.

Display and Design:

Initially, the LG Velvet has a P-OLED screen with a notch that houses the 16-megapixel front camera. The smartphone has stereo speakers and, despite its beautiful appearance, it has received IP68 and MIL-STD-810G certification for its durability. LG has already said that the name "Velvet" is intended to evoke images of lustrous softness and premium softness, two critical features of the new phone.

In the upper left corner of the back, there are three cameras and an LED flash in descending order of size that looks like falling raindrops. The phone has less sharp edges and angles, which makes it pleasant to touch and look at.
