It could be a costly effort to fill your home with speakers. Many intelligent speakers are not only expensive but also not always work very well together and not all have access to the same digital assistants. Are you a huge fan of Google Assistant and already using quite a few Google services? You're definitely worth considering the Smart Speaker series from JBL. The speakers are not too costly, the Google Assistant is built-in and sounds relatively nice. In specific, the JBL Link 300 Australia provides a right amount of sound and Google smarts without breaking the bank.

Design:

The Link 300 looks familiar to you if you have already seen any other JBL Link speakers. It has the same all-black design, so it looks right at home without too much attention. A simple JBL logo and nothing else can be seen at the front-end of the machine. A 3.5-inches woofer will be found around the back to pump the lesser frequencies out. All the replay controls are on the top of the speaker— including a play/pause, up and down the volume, a silent micro and a Bluetooth button. Importantly, it’s equipped with a Google Assistant button that activates Google Assistant. Hence, you no need to say “Hey Google” or “OK Google”.

The speaker's size is also not bad. It is a little bigger than some other intelligent speakers like the Echo or the initial Google Home. Although it takes up quite some space on a shelf, we don't believe that it's difficult to find a place–and that's still not as large as Google Home Max speakers. All in all, JBL Link 300 is quite a good-looking speaker. The all-black structure makes it impossible for the presenter to pay too much attention to themselves, and although it is not as contemporary as the Sono One speaker, it looks still good.

Features:

Finally, it must have been the sound of the JBL Link 300 that is the most significant thing about any speaker and sounds rather darn, particularly for a speaker in this price range. The speaker is a little larger as compared to the majority of others in the Link lineup, which means that its low-end is increased in comparison with smaller speakers. The JBL Link 300 can also be a little louder over the JBL Link 500, but not as loudly as the biggest speaker.

Given that it is part of a multi-room speaker line-up, the Link can be connected with other link series speakers or Chromecast-enabled speakers in your home environment. So, if you want your speakers in each space of your house to play the same music, you can sync them.

Other features are also available in this speaker. It is remarkable that Google Assistant has been incorporated into JBL Link 300, so it can be used like any other Google Assistant-enabled device. That implies that you can control smart devices with the speaker, tell him to play music, ask questions, etc. Google Assistant is considered to be, for a good reason, one of the best digital assistants out there. It's super clever and just gets smarter.

The assistant operates with thousands of popular smart devices at home and has access to the intelligent search engine of Google so that your question is answered with greater probability than other smart voice assistants.

JBL Link 300 Price:

The JBL Link 300 Price Australia varies in the range of AU$219-390 – depends on a store you choose to buy from. The Link 300 with such price tag seems to compete with other products, i.e. Sonos (Alexa-enabled) and Apple HomePod (Siri-powered). The Link 300 may not look as sleek and smooth as those speakers but, undoubtedly, it’s designed attractively and appears well built.
