The Corsair HS70 is an over-average gaming headset with a great listening sound. The HS70 is the HS60's wireless variant, and the two headsets are similar in many areas. The ear cups and headband are well constructed and have a good padding quality. The boom microphone is decent, and you can customise the sound of your headset using the Corsair iCUE software. Besides, Corsair HS70 Wireless headset Australia is unfortunately not passively usable with an audio cable, but their battery life of 15 hours should last you longer than the usual gaming day.

Design:

The Corsair HS70 has virtually the same design as the cabled HS60. It has the same high-end look and feels that's great at an economical price. Moreover, there are comfortable padding on the ear cups and don’t put pressure your head too much. The boom microphone is also removable, but you cannot use the HS70 on your phone, as you could with the HS60. The HS70 has no audio jack, unfortunately, so you cannot passively use them, and you always have to use a USB dongle. On the upside, you can control your volume and have a quick Mic Mute button with a good gaming control system.

Build Quality:

The HS70 by Corsair is made of the same quality as the HS60. It's exceptionally built gaming headset with robust and durable design. You get an extremely long and thick and well-padded headband and metal hinges. The ear-cups are dense, with grills made of metal that make them look like open headphones.

Style:

The Corsair HS70 essentially looks the same as its wired HS60 variant. Some minor distinctions exist, such as white stitching on the headband of the HS70, but other than this it maintains a uniform design of the gaming headset. There are no flash-based colour schemes, and RGB LED lighting is not available as well. It's available in all-Black or white, and feature first-class grills. The hinges of the headband are in metal and look quite like HyperX Cloud II.

Comfort:

The HS70 by Corsair is built with the same material as the HS60, the padding on the eye and headband is the same. The headbands are well-padded that don't feel too narrow on the head, and the ear cups are wide and fit easily around most ears. The cups, on the other hand, are well padded too, but not as well as the headband. Sadly, the swiveling joints have no broad angle of movement so that these headphones give you a light clamping feel over a while. It's always comfortable enough to wear without much pain, sorrow or fatigue during long playing sessions.

Controls:

The HS70 has a quite straightforward game control system. Many gamers do not care about the lack of a call and music management button and want the volume wheel and the mic-mute button available. Unfortunately, there is no LED to tell when the microphone is muted, and when you press the mute microphone button, you do not give as much thoughtful feedback as HS60. Sadly, like some other game headsets, it doesn’t have the mixing of channels. The controls are user-friendly and have a good response.

Breathability:

Like many other gaming headsets, the HS70, during long listening sessions, makes your ears quite warm, but these are not ideal for workouts. Their over-ear design is closed-around, encapsulating the ears and blocking the airflow. Unfortunately, the Logitech G433 or Astro A50 both are not provided with more breathable pads. It won't be ideal if you frequently have long continuous gaming sessions, but it should be all right if you have a few breaks from time to time.

Portability:

Gaming headsets are usually not extraordinarily portable, and unfortunately, HS70 is no different. It has a spacious design, cups are not rotated to lay flat, and the headset can't be folded in a smaller format. It can too not be used without a USB dongle. So, a PC or console is always needed for them to be used.

Stability:

The Corsair HS70 wireless gaming headset is very much stable like HS60. It is tight on the head and puts sufficient pressure to remain in place during light physical activity. There's also no wire so that you won't have a cable attached to anything that will throw away the headphone. But, because it's not a headphone that's sports-oriented, it'll still sometimes slip away if you tilt your head too far back.

Pricing:

The Corsair HS70 Wireless Headset Price Australia varies in the range of AU$158-199 – depends on a store or retailer you choose to buy from. Although the low price doesn't really compensate for the limited features or the possibly problematic software, the HS70 is a simple, well-created device, which provides clear sound for your PC and PS4.
