Design and Display

In terms of beauty and overall look, there’s not a winner as Black Shark, Asus ROG and Razer Phone 2 – all are gaming-centric devices with gaming-centric aesthetics. The Razer Phone 2 among Black Shark and Asus ROG, is the soberest one with a clean design but there an RBG illuminated Razer Logo outback. Aside from Razer, Asus ROG Phone comes with an aggressive design which is quite great as compared to Black Shark. It also comes with 3 pressure sensitive areas on its rear. Unfortunately, Black Shark doesn’t house a feature of water resistant whereas Razer Phone 2 and Asus ROG do.

Display-wise, Razer Phone 2 comes with an eye-catching screen even though it’s an IPS based display. The device has IGZO and a high Quad HD resolution along with an aspect ratio of 16:9 – defining it to be more suitable for multimedia and games. High resolution aside for a short while, it’s also having the brightest brightness as well as the highest refresh rate. The Black Shark, on the other hand, has a superb display for detail and games and ROG Phone has good color reproduction – thanks to its 108.6% DCI-P3 coverage and Super AMOLED screen.

Specs and Software

As compared to Razer Phone 2 and Xiaomi Black Shark, Asus ROG Phone has an impressive amount of hardware. The brain behind Asus ROG Phone is Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with a whopping RAM, ensuring super-smooth and silky performance. The onboard memory is 512GB (expandable no further).

Camera and Battery

The Razer Phone 2 is powered by a camera department which is appealing for so many users but it still needs to be tested for accurate information. And based on what we’ve heard, Xiaomi Black Shark and Asus ROG Phone aren’t offering the as great camera as Razer Phone 2.

However, Razer Phone 2 and other 2 devices house an OIS, a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Both front and rear cameras have the capability to record Full HD+ videos at 60 fps while keeping a 1080p resolution.

In terms of battery, 4000mAh capacity is the same of all of these devices. It’s indeed an above-average capacity and frankly, it’s very important for gamers to have a long-lasting battery, isn’t it? We’ve noted tested them so that it’s difficult to say which one will last more but the differences in battery life will be very marginal.
