The most interesting news (not really for many, though!) is that Chinese smartphone brand has released another coolest and completely baked smartphone in Australia named Oppo K1. As we already know that Oppo is a trendsetter as it mainly focuses on a singular feature and enhances their devices to their extreme. We have already seen the fast battery charging smartphones from Oppo named Oppo F9 which gives us up to two hours of talk time within five minutes of charge which is as same as Oppo’s selfie-expert device “Oppo F1s”. Well, Oppo Find X (uttermost popular) handset crossed all the boundaries of likes in Australia as it has a unique mechanical camera configuration that is also about to witness further in the upcoming smartphones.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Huawei Honor Magic 2 have already released with the mechanical camera. However, it is hard to maintain a position in a highly competitive environment in Australia. There was also confusion between the two distinct smartphones, whether Oppo R15X is Oppo K1 or both, but it appears that both are different. Let’s keep going and find out more in our Oppo K1 Review below.
The Oppo K1 Specs include Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, Dual Stand-By), Bluetooth 5.0 and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Other specifications are as follow:
Oppo K1 is a smartphone similar to Oppo R15X or replica because the same look and design are shared by both smartphones. The phone displays a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen which is well supported by 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and the metal rear shows a double camera horizontally positioned. While it's a ravishing fashion smartphone with the fine bezels around it, the same type of teardrop is present on the front screen.
Opposite phones are some kind of siblings in the same way as the recently released Real Me 2 Pro shows the same design. The similar design in UAE is becoming increasingly popular and a signature look for Oppo smartphones in Dubai has been developed. Blue, Red, Silver, and Green are the two fundamental colors for Oppo K1.
The Oppo R15X setup in Oppo K1 must not be exaggerated. The handset is focused on Australia's selfie enthusiasts and has the extremely sturdy and substantial lens on the front of 25MP and an excellent combo of a 16MP+2MP lens in the rear. In addition, improved AI and embellishment are also available. Frankly, a camera is one of the biggest selling points of Oppo K1.
The image quality is very good in a bright environment, the entire image is very bright and the detail is also very good. The night shooting quality and tolerance of the OPPO K1 is also very good in both indoor and night, as the main camera's big F/1.75 open is strong for night shooting. The great imaging effect of IMX398 combines a large amount of light produced by the broad aperture.
The OPPO K1 identifies 16 separate scenes, 120 scene combinations and color optimization based on various scenes in order to enhance photography. As with a photo-lover and a professional photo assistant, the AI portrait mode has a more natural depth of field effect.
In-depth portrait optimizations, primarily different illumination optimizations, have been carried out in the OPPO K1 in six different scenes: natural light, movie light, shadow light, two-color light, close - up light, and dimming.
Taking a start from onboard storage department, Oppo K1 comes with a 64GB of onboard storage – same as Oppo R15X – with RAM options of 6GB and 4GB. The most appealing part of K1 is that it is powered by the same processor which we have already seen in R15X – Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 that is partnered with Adreno 512 GPU.
The handset, out of the box, runs on Android Oreo 8.1 operating system and importantly, an on-screen fingerprint scanner infusion is also available. For customers in Australia, all of these specifications are not new as they have already seen these intermediate smartphone features which eventually create confusion about what to choose from. Besides, it's offering an impressive amount of battery - 3600mAh which promises to last users a whole day under a casual use whereas heavy users need to charge it before going to bed.
It’s been a couple of months since Oppo K1 Release Date has been announced in Australia. The handset was officially released back in October 2018 and started landing on shelves a week later.
Price-wise, Oppo K1 Price ranges from AU$310-350 but it depends on which variant you get your hands on in Australia. The Oppo K1 4GB/64GB set users back around AU$310 whereas 6GB/64GB goes for a whopping AU$350 or a little more.
Making a long story short and finishing this off by saying that Oppo K1 is an excellent smartphone which comes loaded with a bundle of exquisite features one would want in a smartphone. Offering a quality-oriented camera that can impress with its bright and vivid images. The onboard components are strong enough and provide users with ultra-fast speed and a fingerprint scanner ensures the privacy of all users. Altogether, it’s a perfect option as far as the mid-range price tag is concerned.
