Oppo Find X5 Pro – Rumours, Leaks, Release Date, Price, and more
Flagship smartphones for 2022 have begun to emerge, with the OnePlus 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22 series virtually ready for release. Oppo does not appear to be far behind in this battle, as additional information about its impending premium phone, the Oppo Find X5 Pro in Australia, is gathering traction on the internet. According to the leaks and rumours, it won't be long until the firm starts releasing teasers for the gadget.
The most recent wave of leaks, which include rendering photos of the Oppo Find X5 Pro, reveals a lot about what we may anticipate from the phone. According to the renderings, the Oppo phone will have an appealing design with a high-quality ceramic finish. It will have a Hasselblad camera system as well as the company's MariSilicon chip for processing.
Similarly, hints concerning the components to be employed inside the gadget have been dropped. Though nothing is official as of yet, here are some of the anticipated features and launch information for the Oppo Find X5 Pro.
Release Date & Name
While the last gadget was known as the Find X3 Pro, there is some discussion regarding what the business will label its successor. The obvious title should be the Oppo Find X4 Pro, but a common Chinese superstition may prevent the business from adopting the supposed unlucky number.
Interestingly, OnePlus has avoided the OnePlus 4, while Realme has avoided the Realme 4, while others, such as Xiaomi, have utilised the number across numerous product lines. Oppo's actions will be revealed only in time. Nonetheless, because OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo are so closely related, we'll refer to it as the Oppo Find X5 Pro in this piece.
In terms of the Oppo Find X5 Pro release date, the Find X3 Pro was announced in March and went on sale a month later, so we'd anticipate its successor to follow suit. Oppo has said that a debut in Q1 2022 is planned.
Price & Availability
The Oppo Find X3 Pro didn't come cheap, costing AUD 1899 in Australia. It was marginally less expensive than the Find X2 Pro. Given this, we anticipate that the Oppo Find X5 Pro Price will be similar (AUD 1899),although with a slew of additional capabilities and an awe-inspiring design.
In terms of availability, we expect Oppo will debut the device in China first, before expanding to Asia and Europe. The phone is unlikely to be released in the United States or Australia, but an Indian debut isn't out of the question. For example, the regular Oppo Find X2 made its debut in that country.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Design
The Find X3 Pro has a distinct design, with a moderately elevated camera bump and a glass body. Based on the Find X5 Pro leaks, we may expect a little development of this design. A few leaked renderings based on prototype schematics suggest that the elevated camera module may make a comeback with a few minor changes. Unlike the Find X3 Pro, which has three lenses, the Find X5 Pro appears to have two main lenses and a third lens hidden behind a glass insert above the flash. A high-gloss finish allows for a matte coating at the back.
Other elements revealed by these images include two presumed volume buttons on the device's left side and what appears to be a power button on its right. We don't get a clear look at the device's top or bottom edges, but we doubt there's a headphone jack.
A large leak from the German site WinFuture supplemented the render dumps, giving us our first bottom-up look at the Find X5 Pro. The image reveals a single speaker grille as well as a USB-C connector. There isn't a headphone jack. The size of the camera hump is also evident.
Other Features and Specifications
According to online speculation, the phone will have a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz display, the same dimensions as the Find X3 Pro's LTPO screen. The screen is said to be covered by Gorilla Glass Victus, and the phone may also have an IP68 rating. According to WinFuture, the Find X5 Pro might measure 163.7 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm and weigh 218 grams. It would be around 25g heavier than its predecessor as a result.
As a 2022 flagship, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is likely to come with up to 12GB of RAM and quicker 80W charging capabilities. According to XDA-recognized developer MlgmXyysd, the phone will also include 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging smarts. As for the battery size, it's said to be 5000mAh, if shared details are to be believed.
When looking at the tipped imaging specs, it's clear that there haven't been any noticeable advancements. We think the smartphone will have a pair of 50MP 1/1.5-inch sensors, as well as a 13 or 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom. Interestingly, the microscope shooter is not specifically mentioned, implying that the camera may not return. A 32MP selfie camera rounds out the package.
While the camera hardware may remain mostly identical, Oppo's self-developed image chip, the MariSilicon X, might be a significant new addition. The firm boasts about its efficiency in processing photographic data, noise reduction, 4K video capture, and other tasks.
What Do We Expect from Oppo Find X5 Pro?
We've compiled a list of changes we'd want to see in the upcoming Oppo smartphones when compared to past models.
If we had to comment on any previous Oppo Find smartphone, particularly the Pro edition, our first and primary response would be "make inexpensive devices." The Find X Pro phones are extremely expensive, and the Neo phones aren't always competitive in their prices, and while there's a lot to like about the phones, they may be difficult to suggest to individuals who don't have a lot of money to spend. If Oppo cut the cost of their phones even little, they would be much simpler to promote as excellent value for money gadgets.
Return of Faux Leather
The Oppo Find X2 Pro was available in a quality faux leather variant that felt wonderful in the hand and was readily grippable. The Find X3 Pro range ditched this luxurious-feeling material in favour of a normal glass back. We'd like to see the reintroduction of faux leather, since it represents the type of premium-ness that the Pro phone's price tag implies. Now that even mid-range phones have top hardware, the design department is one of the last remaining bastions for high-end phones to show themselves, and we'd like to see the Oppo Find X5 Pro triumph in this category.
Enhanced Zoom Camera
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom was called for its hybrid 10x zoom lens, which was fantastic for snapping photos of distant objects and was also utilised by a few other Oppo phones, including the Find X2 Pro. However, the firm discontinued the use of this camera, and as a result, the Find X3 series lacked impressive zoom capabilities. Instead, ultra-wide and, in the case of the Pro phone, microscopic photography was prioritised. However, zooming is a key element of the phone photography experience for some people, and we'd like to see the camera return. If not, we'd want to see a comparable alternative.
Dedicated MicroSD Card Slot
While current smartphones have plenty of internal capacity, professionals or power users may desire even more space on their phones for applications, movies, or images. This is where MicroSD cards come in, since they may increase a handset's internal capacity to 1TB or higher. However, several firms, like Oppo, have begun to remove the slots from their phones. We would like to see the Oppo Find X5 Pro include at least one dedicated microSD card slot so that users can easily store large amounts of data.
Oppo to Launch Find X5 (Standard Variant)
The Pro model is expected to be released with the standard Oppo Find X5 variant. The Oppo Find X5 will have a smaller 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus will be used to protect it. Qualcomm's 2021 chipset, the Snapdragon 888 Plus, created on 5nm technology, will power the phone. It will include up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of photography, it has a 50MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). Samsung's auxiliary cameras include a 50MP ultra-wide and a 13MP telephoto lens. Hasselblad tunes the cameras, while MariSilicon X NPU handles picture processing. For selfie enthusiasts, there's a 32MP Sony IMX 615 sensor on the front.
Among the other notable features are 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS. The Oppo Find X5 is powered by a 4800mAh battery and has wired, wireless, and reverse charging capabilities.
So far, that's all we know about the new Oppo Find X5 Pro smartphone. However, we're keeping an eye on things and will update this page as soon as further information becomes available.
