Meizu Note 8 – Rumours and Leaks Ahead of its Official Launch

Right after scheduling an event on 25th October by Xiaomi, for revealing Mi Mix 3 – another Chinese smartphone named Meizu has officially set to launch a smartphone Meizu Note 8 at Beijing Performing Arts Center in China on October 25. The official availability of Meizu Note 8 in Australia is undecided, for now, but Meizu has confirmed a date for China via poster shared on its official account on Weibo (China’s microblogging platform).

Meizu has already started sending invites for an event which will begin at 14:30 PM to launch Meizu Note 8 handset. Speciously, “Note” is an abbreviation of “National Optical Technology Expert”.

Price and Availability

For now, we’re short on words on when will Meizu Note 8 arrive in Australia. And most important of all, Meizu itself didn’t reveal even a single word about Meizu note 8 release date in Australia. We’re hoping to see more details once it goes live in China after October 25th.

As far as Meizu Note 8 Price in Australia is concerned, it’s also a mystery. Based on different online sources, Meizu Note 8 will start landing on Chinese shores at CNY 2770. And after conversion from Chinese Yuan to AUD, it comes to around AU$560. Be noted, it’s just our educated guess but final details will be shared later. So, stay updated.

Meizu Note 8 Rumours and Specifications

Last year’s Meizu Note 6 had collected so many tributes for its 12MP + 5MP camera configuration. Therefore, the teaser campaign shows a Note 8 will be a camera expert.

The Meizu Note 8 appeared on TENNA (China’s Telecom Equipment Authority Site) with a model number “M822Q” which indicates that it’s featuring a gorgeous and eye-catching 6-inches Full HD+ screen based on IPS Technology with a maximum resolution of 2160 x 1080 Pixels for immersive visuals. There is an aspect ratio - 18:9, though.

Now digging down inside, Meizu Note 8 (M822Q) is powered by an Octa-core 1.8GHz mobile processor which is partnered with 4GB of RAM. Storage-wise, it’s boasting a 64GB of onboard memory. And interestingly, one can expand it further up to 128GB with a help of microSD card. Thus one can save loads and loads of data i.e. audio/video songs, images, video clips, and even movies.

TENNA listing didn’t show how much MPs we will see in Meizu Note 8 but the image of Meizu M822Q’s backside matches with a one held by a lady in a teaser poster. The leaked image on TENNA shows that it will boast a dual rear camera alongside Two-Tone LED Flash as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner – super-fast and impressive.

If TENNA listing is to be believed, Meizu Note 8 will be backed by a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera combination and out front, you’ll see an 8MP selfie camera for capturing lovely and memorable moments with your nearest and dearest.

Moving onto a software section, Meizu will run the FlymeOS based on the Android 8.1 Oreo and will soon start getting updates of Android 9.0 Pie. The handset measures 153. 64 x 75.56 x 7.5 in terms of dimensions and weighs only 168 grams. Meizu didn’t reveal about Note 8’s design but it’s safe to expect it in an aluminum unibody.

Last but absolutely not least, Meizu Note 8 will house an impressive 3500mAh non-removable battery which will easily last you a whole day with mixed activities such as watching videos/movies, working on multiple apps and playing games for a short period of time. We don’t know if Meizu Note 8 will arrive with fast charging feature. However, it will come in 4 dazzling colours – Black, Red, Blue, and Purple.

Final Words

To be honest, it’s too prompt to discuss Meizu Note 8 even most authentic online sources are short on words on. But based on what we’ve gone through, it’s a slim handset with a premium look which one will love to flaunt. It’s having a great pair of camera, remarkable battery and exceptional performance. All are making it an excellent option to get your hands on one. And if you don’t mind spending a little more, the performance beast surely deserves to be bought.
