Apple iPhone SE 2 Release Date:
If we go a little bit back in the past, Apple iPhone SE was released at a dedicated event in March 2016. Likewise, we had our fingers crossed that we would see something in March 2018 too, but the event came and went without mentioning any iPhone at all.
Unlike the US and UK, Apple iPhone SE 2 release date in Australia is still very much up in the air. According to Focus Taiwan report in August 2017, it was expected to launch in the first quarter of 2018. Later, Taiwan Electronic Times predicted that the iPhone SE 2 will arrive in March. However, it’s most likely to enter mass production in the first quarter of 2018.
Apple iPhone SE 2 Price:
Now let’s talk about the saucy part which of course pricing. The iPhone SE cost around $399 for the 16GB whereas a 64GB cost $499. A few months later, prices remained the same, but storage got doubled. Apparently, Apple would want to keep the second-gen iPhone SE 2 comparably affordable. Therefore, Apple iPhone SE 2 prices in Australia won’t break the bank.
Apple iPhone SE 2 Design:
We are indeterminate if the iPhone SE 2 will look similar to its predecessor. Let’s imagine that the iPhone SE 2 will come with a glass back. An image creating from China claims to give us a snitch look at a potential veer of iPhone SE 2 back panels and a document asserting that said panels are lon-X glass ones. Obviously, apart from an artistic homage to Apple’s past, this glass panel will enable the inclusion of wireless charging.
As far as the overall design is concerned, it is difficult to draw decisions based on one picture alone, it is safe to say the iPhone SE 2 will be a serious refresh over its predecessor.
Apple iPhone SE 2 Display:
If rumors turn out to be true, it is the second version of the handset will definitely remain a compact phone then. It doesn’t mean the display up front won’t grow – the recent trends in flagship design has shown that now you can have the best of both worlds: a large display inserted in a compact body while keeping bezels small all around. It is expected to see a 4.5-inches display on the upcoming compact device.
Although it’s not a huge increase, it will absolutely be welcome provided that the iPhone SE 2 doesn’t grow itself when it comes to the size. The smaller bezels on the device probably enable for some scope as far as screen size goes. The rest of the display properties will perhaps remain the same – an LCD display with a 640 x 1136 resolution.
Apple iPhone SE 2 Hardware:
Two years old iPhone SE had the Apple A9 chipset inside, so the iPhone SE 2 is tipped to be boasting an Apple A10 chipset. Long story short, it is perfectly worthwhile chipset for today’s standards. Though it is not the same ballpark as the newest Apple A11, let’s consider that it is not a big deal.
Further down the line, if it comes with Apple’s previous-gen chipset, it will still offer a distinct performance boost over the iPhone SE. We’re expecting Apple to keep the price pleasantly reasonable as similar to the original iPhone SE, it doesn’t take a mastermind to assume that the iPhone SE 2 will most likely cut down the almost non-existent competition in the extreme-compact section. The device is expected to be paired with 2GB of RAM which is similar to the iPhone 7. When it comes to the onboard memory, rumors call in for either 32GB or 128GB of onboard storage on deck.
Apple iPhone SE 2 Camera:
So far, we’re relying on the rumors and according to that, the iPhone SE 2 will boast a 12MP camera on the back and a 5MP FaceTime one up front. Nothing is clear about the shooter in particular, but we suppose that Apple could use the iPhone 7 iSight camera which is loaded with an aperture of f/2.2, 1.22 μm pixels. A camera will boast numerous features including software image stabilization and 4K video footage at 30fps. When it comes to the FaceTime unit, we expect it to be lifted straight from the iPhone 6S and perform in a similar manner to that one.
If you’re expecting any advanced shenanigans such as a dual-camera configuration and face-detecting sensors, you have gone quite wrong.
Without a doubt, big-screen iPhones inspire a wide number of audience, but there remains a solid core of Apple fans who get their hands on something a little smaller. Unfortunately, small-screen smartphones among us had been neglected for two years. Therefore, the launch of the iPhone SE 2 will be a much important event and rumored changes to the design such as slightly a bigger screen and the addition of wireless charging are appealing.
